Foundation for Community Soul

The Foundation for Community Soul (FCS) is a Thai non-profit organization established in 2010 (Registration No. SorRor 2/2010) and recognized as a Public Benefit Organization since 2013 (Registration No. 3825). We work to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable groups through learning, climate adaptation, and community-driven development.

What we do

About FCS

To advance inclusive learning, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods by:

  • Ensuring children with disabilities can learn and grow in safe, supportive environments.
  • Equipping women and youth with market–relevant and climate–smart skills.
  • Strengthening community enterprises and local leadership.
  • Supporting adaptation in the silk value chain for long–term sustainability.
  • Children with disabilities and their families.
  • Women in sericulture and rural livelihood sectors.
  • Youth who are Not in Education, Employment, or Skill Training( NEET youth).
    Youth affected by substance use and their families.
  • Community enterprises, vocational groups, and emerging local leaders.

Why FCS?

Many families in Surin and Buriram face economic pressure, climate challenges, and limited access to inclusive services. FCS addresses these gaps by supporting children with disabilities, women, youth, and community groups to gain the skills and support needed to improve their well-being and future opportunities.

Our Work

Inclusive Learning

We improve access to learning at home, in schools, and in community settings. This includes home modifications for children with disabilities, caregiver training, and youth programs that provide safe, supportive spaces.

Climate Resilience and Sustainable Sericulture

We help women silk producers respond to climate impacts, strengthen production practices, and secure more stable income. We also support knowledge transfer to sustain local silk traditions for future generations.

Community Enterprise

We build the capacity of savings groups and small community enterprises, offering training, mentoring, and learning hubs that promote diversified income and stronger local leadership.
